Chase UK will export a CSV, from the app, ninety days at a time. A tax year is three hundred and sixty-five.

App only, 90 days at a time

This is about Chase in the UK, the app-only bank from J.P. Morgan. If you bank with Chase in the US, see our Chase US guide instead: the two are separate banks with different exports.

Chase UK has no website banking, so everything happens in the app. Tap the profile icon at the top left of the home screen, then Statements. From there you can download a monthly statement, or create a custom statement for a date range of up to 90 days and export it as PDF or CSV. Statements stay available in the app for up to six years.

The 90-day ceiling: a tax year running from 6 April to 5 April is at least five custom CSV exports, each saved from a phone and then joined together. The monthly PDFs are twelve files that can be converted in one batch.

That is the whole case for converting. Chase UK gives you the data. It just gives it to you in pieces sized for checking last month, not for doing a year's accounts.

Quick answer: Chase UK is app only. It exports custom statements of up to 90 days as PDF or CSV, and keeps monthly statements for up to six years. For a full tax year, download the twelve monthly PDF statements from the app and convert them in one batch instead of joining five or more 90-day CSVs.

From phone to accounts

HMRC sets the floor for how long the records have to survive. A sole trader keeps them for at least five years after the 31 January filing deadline for the tax year, so a year's records can need keeping for nearly seven years. A limited company keeps them for six years from the end of the financial year they relate to. Six years of Chase UK statements in the app covers most of that, but only as PDFs: the CSV route never reaches further than 90 days per export.

Downloading the PDFs is easiest done in one sitting: open each monthly statement in the app, share it to your files or email, then upload the batch from a computer.

Converting the statements (4 steps)

  1. Download the PDF statements from Chase UK
In the Chase UK app, tap the profile icon, then Statements, then Monthly statements, and download each month you need as a PDF. Share them to your files or email so you can upload them together.
  2. Open the converter
Register free at reconcileiq.com/bank-statement-converter, then open Bank Reconciler and the PDF converter inside it.
  3. Upload the statements together
Drag in several months at once. Each statement is read on its own and the transactions come back as one continuous set, so there is no stitching files together afterwards.
  4. Check the output, then download
The extracted transactions appear on screen before you download anything. Check the first and last rows against each statement's opening and closing balance, then export as CSV.

Step 1 in the tool. The converter accepts native Chase UK PDFs, scans and photos of paper statements, up to 12 files at once. The cost is shown before anything runs.

The result. Clean rows ready to download as CSV for your accounting software, or to push straight into a reconciliation without uploading again.

Always check the balances: every Chase UK statement prints an opening and a closing balance. If the converted rows carry you from one to the other, nothing was missed. It takes ten seconds and it is the only real proof of completeness, from any tool, including this one.

What comes out

Each Chase UK statement converts to rows of date, description, one signed amount and the running balance. Card payments, transfers to other banks and moves between your own Chase accounts all come through as separate dated lines, ready to import or reconcile.

Page furniture is discarded: repeated column headers, page numbers, summary boxes and the small print on the last page. What you get is transactions and nothing else.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I export Chase UK transactions to CSV?

Yes, from the app. Create a custom statement for a date range of up to 90 days and export it as CSV or PDF.

How far back do Chase UK statements go?

Chase UK keeps statements available in the app for up to six years from when they were generated.

Does Chase UK have online banking on a computer?

No. Chase UK is app only, so statements and exports are downloaded from the app and can then be shared to a computer.

Is this the same as Chase in the US?

No. Chase UK and Chase in the US are separate banks with different apps and different export options. Our separate guide covers Chase US statements.

Is the converter free?

Your first statement of up to 10 pages converts free on a new account. Beyond that it runs on credits, and the cost per conversion is shown before anything is processed. Files are processed on our servers rather than in your browser, which is what lets scanned and photographed statements work as well as native PDFs.
